Our Stitching School Workshop Success Stories
This blog post documents the accounts of two women, who, with the help of The Noor Project, were able to successfully complete the Stitching Workshop and find relevant jobs in the field to support their families. Although this post only talks about a couple of women, there have been countless others who have had the same success.
Student 1:
Name: Maria BB
- Story: Maria BB is a successful student of the stitching course at The Noor Project. She came from a poor family of seven people who were all unemployed. They were not able to fulfill the family’s necessities. The Noor Project provided her with an opportunity to learn stitching skills. After completing the course, she started stitching clothes for people at home, and was earning enough money to help her family. We are truly proud to see her succeed.
Student 2:
Name: Maria Javaid
- Story: Maria Javaid is a successful student of the stitching course at The Noor Project. She came from a poor family. Her husband was a schizophrenia patient and was unable to work. She also had two kids so it was very difficult for them to fulfill their family’s needs. The Noor Project provivded her a platform to learn stitching skills and provided them with a stipend twice a month. After completing the stitching course, she got a job at a clothing factory with a salary of 10,000-15,000 rupees a month. This was enough to support her family. We are really proud of her success and to see our organization’s vision be realized one person at a time.
