The Day of Acknowledgement
When you acknowledge the hard work and appreciate the efforts of someone, it brings more motivation, enthusiasm and a spirit to perform up to the mark. You cannot understand the worth of a diamond until it turns into a perfect eye-catch ing shape. In this world of opportunities, you can only excel, if you have polished your skills in a competitive environment.
The ultimate goal of The Noor Project is to drag people out of the circle of poverty. In order to do so, we give equal opportunities to the impoverished part of society. We provide them with an even playing field to exhibit their skills. We give them everything a student can dream off.
Today, we experienced some heartwarming moments. Everybody was delighted and had a different kind of shine in his/her eyes. They were happy because today, they were going to get the reward of their hard work and constant struggle. It was a day of accomplishment and sheer satisfaction for the students, who performed their hearts out to learn and progress in the challenging world.
Graduation ceremony (for all the vocational classes) was conducted today at The Noor Project. From the renovation to the beautification, everything was done and dusted in style. From the top management to the staff, everyone looked apart. Teachers were proud of their students who did not let them down in front of the higher management. Now they could walk with more elegance. Sweepers and security guards were not behind; they knew that they had done their best. All the management from the administration block was satisfied from the outcomes because their unstoppable diligence paid off.

The entrance of the school was decorated with beautiful flowerpots and charts, while a big stage was set up at the front. The architecture of the stage was welcoming the audience with its appearance.
The curiosity of the students was climbing up because it was also a result day. Even though they performed well but still a little bit shivering in the body is quite natural in these circumstances. Students from the junior sections came to the school today, but this time with a different attitude. They were anxiously waiting for the announcement of their result. Today, they felt more freedom because they had not come to attend their classes.
Parents also had a gentle smile on their faces and a spirit in their eyes. They saw that the hard work of their children is being acknowledged. The fact was clear that their generation is not incapable.
Vocational classes (6 months duration) were conducted in the following areas:
- IT (60 Students)
- Beautician (60 Students)
- Sewing (60 Students)
IT-based vocational classes
In the IT-based vocational classes, we taught students from the basic to the pro level. Our highly qualified and well-experienced instructor taught them the real dynamics and the latest research in the field of computer science. The significance of the technology in the modern day had also been brought under the light. In these six month students trained hard and practiced. Those impoverished students, who could not find a way throughout their lives, ended up identifying a direction for their future.
As far as girls are concerned, makeup is an important ingredient of their life. For the women of deprived families, The Noor Project conducted a session of 6 months where they learned Bridal makeup, party makeup and casual makeup under the surveillance of topmost beauticians in town. As it directly deals with the human skin, we do not compromise on the quality of the material. We use the material of the topmost brands that are safe to apply. In these six months, women came across some technicalities and understood how to work efficiently. They practiced every day and got better and better by the time.
Our stitching lab is rich in equipment and bigger in size. In this evolving industry of fashion designing, our stitching lab is not behind. Our experienced fashion designer trained the students with the latest methodologies.
Ceremony started off with a recitation of Holy Qur’an. Later on, students did some magical group performances that took the entire audience by a storm. They represented all the provinces and depicted the cocktail of the cultures of different areas of Pakistan. Perfection of their execution was the proof that every step was well-rehearsed and practiced. Teachers had done a lot of hard work and that was clearly visible.
The chief guest of the ceremony was the great Olympian Mr. Khawaja Junaid. It was a moment of immense pleasure for us to host such a renowned personality in the field of hockey. Mr. Khawaja was very surprised to hear, that all the activities at The Noor Project are done free for the underprivileged people. He recognized the work and made an announcement that he is going to make a hockey academy very soon for the students of The Noor Project, where they will be free to register. In that Academy, students will learn how to stay fit and dynamic. The talent that could’ve stayed unidentified will now leave its mark. Players who wished to play but did not have resources, this academy will not let dreams to shatter anymore.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Khalid Sheikh (Founder), Mr. Nagi (CEO) and our worthy guest Mr. Khawaja distributed gifts among the top performers of junior section and vocational training. To the students of stitching unit, sewing machines were given as a reward of their work.
Mr. Khalid thanked Mr. Khawaja for his presence as well as admired the parents who showed up for the future of their children. He applauded the work of all the instructors of their respective departments for the exceptional piece of work for the last six months. He said that credit must be given to the administration team, who worked from dawn to dusk. This would not have been possible without the hard work of Team Noor Project, he added.
The entire scene depicted mixed emotions. The ones who got the top position were over the moon while others who could not perform ended up disappointed. Smiles and tears, both were seen. Undoubtedly, it is the beauty of nature, in fact, the competition, where one loses and the other wins but the battle never stops.
